HAPPY INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP DAY, VINAS!

Here's to us!

International Friendship Day is finally upon us!

On April 27, 2011, the General Assembly of the United Nations declared July 30th the official International Friendship Day. However, some countries—like the U.S. and India, for example—celebrate it on the first Sunday in August. Even though it is celebrated on different days, it still holds the same meaning, of course.

So how can you celebrate International Friendship Day with your vinas? We’ve got you covered!

GO TO BRUNCH

If you and your besties don’t go out to brunch very often, you are missing out big time! Do a quick search online and see what restaurants in your area are fun for brunch and then go check them out! For those of you who do brunch often, find a different place to try out. It could become your new fave spot!

MAKE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS

I know it may sound childish, but remember how much fun you had when you made friendship bracelets? Go out and grab a bracelet kit (which you can find easily on Amazon.com or at your local Target or Walmart) and start crafting! If you’re feeling extra nostalgic, turn your craft night into a good old-fashioned slumber party: complete with movies and popcorn. Making these bracelets can be more fun than you might think!

JUST SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR VINA

This seem obvious, right? I feel crazy for actually having to write it down, but these days, people are so engaged in technology that sometimes they forget the power of interacting with people in-person. Does this mean you need to go without your phone for 24 hours? No. But it does mean that to have meaningful time with someone, you need to disconnect to truly connect with them.
