THE BEST OKTOBERFEST SPOTS COAST-TO-COAST

We scoured the U.S. for the best places coast-to-coast for you and your girlfriends to grab a beer and celebrate Octoberfest!

CALIFORNIA – SAN DIEGO

Pacific Beach Ale-House. Grab a cold beer with your best girlfriend at a coastally-inspired hangout that boasts an in-house brewery along with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Lounge on Pacific Beach AleHouse’s rooftop patio, as you reminisce and bask in one of San Diego’s lively beach towns, bustling with fun-seeking beachgoers and brimming with eclectic surf vibes. Another great spot to catch up with a good friend is PB AleHouse’s ground floor patio, complete with a roaring firepit to set the mood.

BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant has the perfect vibe for happy hour, with eclectic architecture in an industrial-style designed space. Its interior design is made largely from re purposed materials with large unfinished doors lending to a welcoming indoor-outdoor atmosphere. There are even a few hand-made chandeliers, a personalized touch from co-proprietor Terryl Gavre. Whether you want to sit inside at the bar or outside in the fresh air, BANKERS HILL is a great place to stop in for a beer with a girlfriend.

COLORADO – GRAND JUNCTION

Kannah Creek Brewing Company opened the Edgewater Brewing company in Grand Junction.  With a kids menu, it’s the perfect place for Vina’s with kids to grab a beer in the afternoon, or leave them at home for the beer festival.

 FLORIDA – ST. CLOUD

Reprise Brewing to enjoy 12 different hand-crafted beers or a homemade soda produced by Osceola County’s first brewery. Bring your own eats to the cozy tap room based in downtown St. Cloud and listen to their extraordinary collection of vinyl records while you’re there. And the area’s nearby resorts are perfect for a romantic post-beer dinner.

FLORIDA – TAMPA

Coppertail Brewing Co., an independent craft brewery is now one of the largest breweries in Florida. From the gorgeous interior, to a super fun playlist.  Grab your girlfriends and connect with in-house games like Jenga, cards, or hit trivia night on Monday.  The bar employs many female bartenders and has a well-lit parking lot.  In addition, the staff will drive customers home if they’ve had too much to drink.

GEORGIA – ATLANTA

Sonesta Gwinnett Place Atlanta, a full service hotel located just outside Downtown Atlanta features a delicious onsite restaurant and gastro pub – ArtBar. The pub likes to put a spin on popular drinks and stresses the importance of supporting local breweries and distilleries. Along with Georgia and more specifically Atlanta brews, if your girlfriend isn’t the typical beer lover, she can enjoy her own choice of beer cocktails like Grapefruit IPA Punch and Angry Apple Pie.

ILLINOIS – CHICAGO

Bar Siena, located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago is the best place to grab a beer with a sports-loving girlfriendWhile someone might be there looking to catch their favorite team score the latest touchdown, strike someone out and/or view buckets being scored, the other can order off of the drink menu or the full menu offering delicious dishes helmed by Top Chef alum, Fabio Viviani. Whether it is a burrata dish or the popular Proscuitto Fig pizza to go with that beer or specially hand-crafted cocktail, the Italian eatery has it available for all guests and their palates out there. 

 

MASSACHUSETTS – MARTHAS VINEYARD

The Newes From America Pub on Martha’s Vineyard. Nestled in the heart of Edgartown, Massachusetts its one of two dining venues at historic Kelley House, and an ideal spot for a brew-filled girls night out. Featuring genuine Colonial charm with original rough-hewn beams, ballast brick walls and warm hearth, The Newes takes great pride in offering a wide array of New England draft beer—like the Light Newes or Newes Lager, which are both kegged exclusively for The Newes. If there’s time for a bite to eat, its menu blends American and British pub food favorites like local signatures New England Clam Chowder, Roquefort Stilettos and Fish & Chips. It’s a favorite eatery on the island, and its casual and friendly atmosphere lends itself to regular events that are popular among visitors and locals alike.

NEVADA – LAS VEGAS

The Biergarten at Lagasse’s Stadium. It’s the ultimate German beer garden experience offering gourmet fare and an array of German-inspired beer and craft cocktails. It’s the perfect casual spot to enjoy a cold one (or a frozen one! they have frozen beer on tap as well), before a girl’s night out in Vegas.  Located on the patio of Lagasse’s Stadium, the rising sounds of laughter and music will draw guests into the beer garden and allow guests to dine al fresco in a uniquely fun atmosphere with a view of the Las Vegas Strip. 

NEW YORK – NEW YORK CITY

Handcraft Kitchen & Cocktails 367 Third Avenue, NYC Handcraft is an upscale pub serving unusual and often hard-to-find craft beers.  The 11 tap lines feature rotating draughts all sourced from New York State breweries.  Beer is also available in bottles and cans, and guests can taste a variety of brews with the beer flight offerings (3/$15, 6/$25).  The girl-friendly atmosphere is an artful mix of salvaged and recycled materials combined with exposed brick and honey-colored woods.  Vina’s can enjoy live music on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday. Brunch is available Saturday and Sunday.

NoMo Kitchen at NoMo SoHo one of the chicest destinations in SoHo located right on 9 Crosby and perfect for fashion-forward Vina’s to grab a bite and a beer. Known for being highly “Instagrammable” but also with a wide range of delicious cocktails and beers available. Your girlfriends will love taking photos here! The restaurant has been featured in movies such as “The Other Woman” and is always packed with fashion’s trendiest influencers.

NORTH CAROLINA – CHARLOTTE

Bold Missy Brewery, is one of several craft breweries that fall along a two-mile stretch of brewpubs in the historic neighborhood of North Davidson, casually called NoDa by locals.Owner Carol Waggoner separates her business from close competitors with its well-loved styles of beer that pay homage to history’s famous “Bold Missy’s,” making it the perfect spot to grab a beer with girlfriends.. The neighborhood is also home to several locally-owned shops, three live entertainment venues and an assortment of restaurants that make it a perfect destination to continue the evening.

SOUTH CAROLINA – GREENVILLE

NOSE DIVE Gastropub  is a casual gastropub offering fare best described as “urban comfort food” and craft beers highlighting seasonal and specialty offerings. Draft selections change daily. While the traditional atmosphere of a brewery may not appeal to more women, NOSE DIVE offers a more tasteful but approachable atmosphere with the same strong flavors and choices of beers.

TENNESSEE – MEMPHIS

For a beer with a girlfriend paired with the best views in Memphis, consider the top level of the Pyramid, The Lookout, where a full-service bar offers indoor and outdoor seating along with glass observation decks and panoramic views of the Memphis skyline and Mississippi River.. To reach The Lookout, girlfriends can ride up the country’s tallest freestanding elevator within Big Cypress Lodge.

TEXAS – AUSTIN

Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden in Austin, Texas has 104 beers on draft and another 50 in cans and bottles. Besides the incredible selection of beer, Banger’s is an ideal place for Vina’s to enjoy a beer due to its location – right in the heart of the historic Rainey district – an area full of bars and restaurants for you to continue the night or day away. Banger’s is also dog-friendly with an outdoor patio and their own dog run – cute dogs, great location and amazing beer all in one. (A little known secret – Banger‘s offers to make any porter, stout or root beer into a beer float for you.)
VIRGINIA – DALEVILLE

Ballast Point Brewing Co. native to San Diego, has officially arrived on the east coast with the opening of it’s new Brewery, Tasting Room, & Kitchen in Daleville, Virginia.  With 128 taps featuring a variety of Ballast Point beers, growler filling station, retail area with unique merchandise & swag, and a restaurant, it’s a one-stop shop and perfect for a girls day/night out.  Enjoy the sleek indoor atmosphere or cozy up by the fire pit outside beneath a painted southern sky.  The dining menu combines the West Coast vibe that the brewery is known for and creativity of the company with the local culture and flavors of the East Coast, offering items like a West Coast Griddle Burger, Street Style Fish Tacos, and Shrimp & Grits and sweet desserts to top off the perfect #vinanightout

VIRGINIA – ROSELAND

Devils Backbone Basecamp Brewpub & Meadows is a fantastic place for girlfriends to hang out and have a beer. Located at the base of Wintergreen Ski Resort in Roseland, VA, so after a long day of skiing ladies can kick up their boots by our fire pit and sip a beer that was brewed on site. It’s also a sight to see this time of year. The Blue Ridge Mountains that surround the brewpub are beautiful in the fall as the leaves change. After taking a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to do some leaf peeping, girlfriends can head down to the pub to roast marshmallows and enjoy a meal of our locally sourced smoked meats.

WASHINGTON D.C.

Buffalo & Bergen, a NYC-style soda fountain (egg creams, kniches) and Suburbia, a 1967 Airstream parked out front of the makers market where cold local beers and extraordinary frozen cocktails studded with umbrellas are poured for visitors to the beer garden (think picnic tables and fig trees). It’s a killer afterwork spot when the weather cooperates and one with a cool, porchy, 1950s vibe.
