Hey vina babes, are you a huge fan of deadpan-style comedy and Aubrey Plaza like myself? You’ve probably already seen her best work as April Ludgate, a college intern who regularly sleeps at her desk and hardly seems interested in doing her job, on Parks and Recreations.

Or maybe you’ve recently seen her in the The Little Hours trailer, where she plays a sex-crazed nun with GLOW actress Alison Brie and many other comedic names. Or there may be a few of you who don’t watch any television (including Netflix), or go to the movies so you’ve never heard of her… Whatever the case, her filmography resume is growing and she’s here to STAY AND SLAY! Here are a few reasons why it’s not too late to make her your lady crush.

SHE’S SARCASTIC AS F**K
Do you ever meet new people who don’t laugh at your meta layered jokes? Or you were faced with yet another weird confrontation in which you were faced with the “explain your joke” aftermath, causing you to rethink just when you persist with the constant deadpan-ness and irony, and when you should start simmering down a bit.
“Sarcasm is weird. Even not in acting, in life. I feel like ‘sarcastic’ is a word that people use to describe me sometimes so when I meet someone, it’s almost like they feel like they have to also be sarcastic, but it can sometimes just come off as mean if it’s not used in the right way,” said Plaza.
What makes her the ultimate eye candy for sarcastic vinas is that she’s the best at being herself (even if it confuses people). Her emotionless expressions are effortlessly charming.

SHE’S 420 FRIENDLY
In real life, she’s super laid back. Like super laid-back-cool. Like 420 friendly fun stuff with nuns cooool.
Need I say more?
*BONUS* Last year in July, she threw the first pitch at the Dodgers game! Athletic AND dresses up with face paint; what’s more to love than a fun, cute vina with a huge smile?!

Aubrey Plaza and her dope off-screen personality make her one of my favorite comedy goddesses (next to Gillian Jacobs and Anna Faris). Plaza carries herself naturally in interviews as if the equipment crew isn’t even there. As a deadpan vina myself, I look up to her, a strong actress in a male dominated industry. She will probably always peak my interest; saying little but maintaining that special effortless charm. She embodies one of those good kind of vinas that you definitely need in your life!
