So we iterated off FOMO and broke down DOMO for you, that was just the tip of the iceberg. We have now further ventured into the realm of social anxiety with SLOMO, MOMO & FOJI. Don’t worry, I got you:
SLOMO // SLOW TO MISSING OUT

No you’re not overreacting, that feeling when you realize everyone is having a better time without you because you’re asleep is a very very real thing. And you only realize later the next morning when your social media is flooded with posts from the previous night’s shenanigans!!
MOMO // MYSTERY OF MISSING OUT

Have you ever had paranoia set in when you haven’t heard from your crew in a bit? It’s not just them not actively conversing with you that bothers you, it’s also their lack of social media activity that makes you wonder if you’re being shunned on purpose. Makes you think out loud “Is everyone hanging out without me?”; the assumption here that your friends are too busy having fun without you is nerve-wracking !!
FOJI // FEAR OF JOINING IN

The complete opposite to MOMO, FOJI happens when you’re just low-key afraid what your friends and peers will think about you online. In fact, you might opt out of social media altogether for fear that nobody will want to connect, follow or be ‘friends’ with you.
Have you experienced any of these phenomenon? Let us know!
