4 IDEAS TO STEP UP YOUR VOLUNTEER GAME

This one goes out to the gals living in cities or other populous areas! Time to give back to your community.

Don’t wait just ’til the holidays; it’s always a good time to volunteer. Once you’ve found your volunteer buddy on Hey! VINA, the next thing to do is figure out where to serve. Here are some ideas for those of you who live in either an urban or populous space.

IF YOU LIKE SYSTEMS AND REPETITION…

Hit up your local food bank! These guys have volunteering down to a T. If you like organization and/or wearing silly aprons, head on down to a food bank, and chat about what issues are most important to you with your vina as you give back to the hungry in a rewarding day of work.

IF YOU’RE OUTDOORSY…

Community Gardens are great for the vinas who love to get down and dirty in the soil. Create something beautiful and make new friends at the same time! You’ll surely leave with a smile.

IF YOU LIKE IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION FOR YOUR EFFORTS…

Stop by a senior home. You’ll find that the gratitude for your company is often times overwhelming. You and your vina can make some awesome new elderly friends, all while lending a helping hand and brightening their day.

IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS…

Animal shelters are always fun, though occasionally a little sad. Do your part for the pups and kittens in a fluffy and rewarding volunteer date.
How do you like to volunteer? Tag a vina and let us know in the comment section!
