Hey, babe. Listen, we’ve all been there. Overwhelmed by work, school, life – whatever. So, you’ve found yourself getting to that hair-pulling point. It’s time to whip out the phone tree and get your vinas together for some stress-relieving fun. Great thing about stress management? There’s no right or wrong way to do it! Here’s a few of my favorites:

SOLVE YOUR STRESS BY MAKING A MESS

Columbia Professor Eric Abrahamson believes that embracing mess can stimulate creativity and reduce anxiety. What better way to get a little messy with your vinas than with a color powder party? All you need is some colored powder, a space you can get a little messy in (I suggest a backyard), and clothes you don’t mind getting a little colorful. Let the fun commence!

BEAT THE BLUES WITH SOME TUNES

Studies have shown that singing changes your brain. Whether it’s the vibrations being sent through you or the release of endorphins singing often causes, the science is there! Grab your vinas and head to your nearest karaoke bar for a little R&R. If you’re on a budget, check out various that you can cast to your smart TV and bring the party to the living room where no one will judge your bad dance moves.

SPEAKING OF BAD DANCE MOVES…

Everyone knows that exercising can have an anxiety and stress reducing affect, that’s not news. However, sometimes exercising is nooooot very fun. Platforms like Groupon and Living Social are great tools for finding cheap rates on fun classes in your area. You and your gal pals can sign up for your local fitness pole dancing studio, jazzercise class, or even a twerk class. You’ll be rolling on the floor laughing at each other while also getting the best workout of your life. I call that a double whammy.

LAUGH IT OFF

Move aside hot yoga, there’s a new flow in town and it’s a lot less sweaty. Yoga studios in India have been popping up since the 90s, but these studios do not provide your normal yogi experience. Like-minded people meet up early in the morning to laugh at each other until the laughter becomes genuine and then you begin your salutations. Try to schedule weekly laughter yoga meetings with your vinas first thing in the morning for the most benefit.

(BATH) BOMB AWAY THE STRESS

The key ingredient to the success of this goofy way to relieve stress is access to a hot tub, which if you’re lucky enough to already have you probably aren’t that stressed! But seriously, grab your pals, head to the tub and drop in half of one of your favorite confetti-free bath bombs. How can you feel stressed while relaxing in a bubbly tub with your vinas? You can’t, just try it.
