Thanks to the Instagram Explore page, I waste a ridiculous amount of time on things I didn’t even know I was interested in. Although a lot of the content on social media is nonsense, some of it is actually productive—if only for your mood. Comic accounts appear to be on the rise and for good reason. Here are some adorable and relatable comic accounts to follow if you are looking to brighten up your feed:
BROOKLYNCARTOONS
Artist Emmet Truxes manages to capture real life almost perfectly in only two dimensions. Check out this page, and try not to tag one of your vinas. Comic prints are available for purchase on the website—a great gift for any sarcastic vina.
SARAHANDERSENCOMICS
Sarah Anderson is able to say what we all wish we could say IRL through her lovable comic character, the big mushy happy lump. These are great comics to look at when you need reassurance that you’re not the only one riding the crazy train.
CASSANDRACALIN
These amazing illustrations encapsulate womanhood in a way that is guaranteed to make you giggle. When a vina isn’t around to complain with you about how tight your bras are or the fact that your hair never looks like the tutorials you’ve watched a million times, Cassandra Calin has got your back.
BETHDRAWSTHINGS
Beth Evans perfectly depicts the trials of social anxiety in just a few lines. While the drawings may appear simple, the messages are powerful. If you or a vina struggles with anxiety, this account is a great way to bring humor to your experiences, while still recognizing and respecting them.
POORLYDRAWNLINES
I don’t know what it is about these comics, but they actually make me LOL. While many comic artists stick to the same main character, Reza changes the character with each new scene. Head to the website to see the blog behind the art, and stay tuned for the videos coming soon!
