HOW TO THROW A LEGENDARY MARDI GRAS BASH

Mardi Gras makes you want to party, and party big! No need to visit New Orleans, just grab your vinas and get ready to celebrate!

DECORATE

The best way to get your vinas in the mood is to decorate using the official Mardi Gras colors of green, purple, and gold. Grab some balloons, tablecloths, beads (check the dollar store!) and decorations to add vibrant pops of color to your party. Set your playlist to New Orleans jazz, ragtime or swing music, and get ready to dance the night away!

No Mardi Gras is complete without mouth-watering food and refreshing drinks, served in bright cups. Whether you’re throwing a huge party or just having a few friends over, these recipes are guaranteed hits: Cajun popcorn, southern fried chicken and jambalaya. You’ll need something to drink so try these New Orleans thirst quenchers: Hurricane and Vieux Carre. These yummy Mardi Gras cupcakes will satisfy any guests with a sweet tooth!

For any makeup lover, Mardi Gras is an opportunity to head to Sephora and watch YouTube beauty tutorials (just me?). Since our colors are gold, green and purple, they look pretty on every skin tone – so have fun with it! These tutorials range from generally do-able to only-in-my-wildest-dreams and they are gorgeous. I can’t wait to see the beauty looks for Mardi Gras 2017.

Happy Mardi Gras, vinas!

Now that you’re ready for Mardi Gras, grab your vinas and party on!
