Okay, “salivating” might be a little extreme…or gross…but I’m seriously lusting after these brands. Most of them were either founded by stylish besties or just bad*ss women looking to make clothes for other bad*ss women! Plus, we all know I’m a huge fan of besties stealing each other’s styles, which is way easier if you’re buying cute matching items from awesome brands. If you want to support women-owned businesses and celebrate female friendship, these brands are a great place to start.
POP & SUKI
Created by Poppy Jamie and Suki Waterhouse, two it-girls who also happen to be best friends, this brand gets stylish women. It’s exploded right of the gate, not only because of the founders’ it-girl cred, but also because their products are so damn cute. They make personalized accessories that are so on-trend, you and your vinas will be the coolest girls on the street and online.
If you’re someone who get’s their period, this brand is a GODSEND. Forget uncomfortable and pricey pads and tampons, Thinx is here to bring us all into the 21st century period-wise. The woman-owned brand was founded by self-acclaimed SHE-EO (love that) Miki Agrawal, her twin sister, and their bestie. They’re on a mission to improve access to period-related hygiene all over the world – young adults shouldn’t have to miss school just because they’re on their period! We love supporting this brand on a mission and trust us, it makes Aunt Fl0w’s visit sooooo much easier.
The Girlfriend Collective are just two more gals on mission to provide an awesome product in a responsible way. Founders Ellie and Quang wanted to create a brand that was sustainable, accessible, but still a lil’ fancy. They believed high-quality activewear should be accessible to all! Plus, they’re selling their ah-mazing leggings for just the price of shipping. Yes, you heard that right: High-quality, sustainable leggings, in all sizes, basically for free. So like…what are you waiting for?
I hope these brands inspire you to buy from women-owned businesses, especially when those women are awesome BFFs. What are your fave women-owned brands? Tell us in the comments!
