HOW TO BALANCE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH BAE & YOUR VINAS

Life is allllllll about balance. The eternal struggles are those between healthy eats and junk food, couch surfing and gym time, work and play, and our romantic and platonic relationships. For our relationships, we want to spend as much as possible with our bae and our vinas, but it can be difficult to strike a balance that makes you AND them feel good.

There are a couple things you can do to make sure that you’re getting the perfect dose of romance and friendship:

BE PROACTIVE

If an inbalance exists between the time you spend with your vinas and the time you spend with your partner, chances are that you’re seeing your vinas less, not vice versa. If you notice that you’re spending much more time with your bae, make sure you reach out to your BFFs before any salty feelings arise.

ENCOURAGE GROUP HANGS

The easiest way to make sure that you’re getting time with all your fave people is to encourage everyone to hang out together! Organize double dates with your vina and her boo, or invite a group to a show or day in the park. It’s nice when your vinas and your partner are friends too – and it’ll help avoid jealousy or #FOMO.

BUT ALSO, MAKE TIME FOR 1:1

Try a weekly date night with your significant other and a special day for hanging with your BFFs. You’ll probably (hopefully) see them both more than once a week, but this way you have a set time carved out for some one-on-one time.

How do you find a balance between your romantic and platonic relationships?
