Date Ideas Sisterhood Thrive

Making new friends can feel like a daunting task.  Whether you’ve moved to a new city or just want to branch out from your current friend group, it can be difficult to find new, cool people you click with.  But have no fear!  We’ve rounded up some fun places we like to meet new vinas, and now you can go out there and find new buds too no matter what your interests are!

One of the best ways to find a new BFF is to bond over a similar taste in music.  And what better place to do that than a show?  Whether you’re a punk, a country lover, a dancing queen, or a blues babe, being at a show or concert gives you have the perfect opportunity for chatting with someone new in between sets — just ask which song is your new bud’s fave! Bonding over music = instant BFF.

Similar to a show, a bookstore or library is a great place to meet like-minded friends because your new potential bff will be chilling in the same section as you!  Chat up the cool girl reading that graphic novel you’ve been meaning to pick up, or the gal checking out that mystery novel you read in one sitting.  Connecting over lit is sure to help you find your new ride-or-die, guaranteed.

Do you have a dog?  You and your pup will definitely meet an awesome vina and her pooch (or two!) at a local dog park or anywhere dogs and owners hang out near you!  A pal for you and your four-legged best friend? Win-win if you ask us.

If you do freelance work (or even if you don’t), co-working spaces can be a great way to connect with vinas who do what you do!  It’s never a bad idea to surround yourself with people who are passionate about the things you’re passionate about, and it’s easy to find them at co-working spaces! (Also – totally great for professional networking.)

And last, but definitely not least, download the Hey! VINA app!  It a great way (read: best way) to see and connect with all the amazing vinas in your area.  We’re here waiting for you!
